Not sure where to begin? Here are a few features we’re already exploring — and your feedback can help shape them into reality:

1. The Hydroponics Build Hub

I just want to build something that works… but where do I start?

Imagine a visual “recipe book” of DIY hydroponic and aquaponic systems based on your space, budget, and skill level. Filter builds by:

• Container size (countertop, closet, balcony, garage)

• Plant types (lettuce, herbs, strawberries, tomatoes)

• Experience level (beginner to advanced)

• System type (Kratky, DWC, NFT, etc.)

Each build would include:

• A downloadable blueprint

• A materials shopping list

• A quick-start video or animated diagram

• Estimated cost & maintenance tips

2. Monthly Grow-Alongs & Challenges

“Growing is more fun with friends.”

We’re thinking about starting community-wide grow challenges, where we pick a plant (like basil or bok choy), provide a downloadable tracking sheet, weekly emails, and a place to share results.

Grow-alongs could also include:

• Mini prizes or badges for participation

• Time-lapse or harvest photo contests

• Special Q&A threads to troubleshoot live

This one’s a moonshot, but we’re exploring the idea of building a lightweight mobile tracker app — or digital grow journal — to:

• Log pH, EC, and water temp

• Upload crop photos & notes

• Get reminders to clean, top off, harvest, etc.

• Sync with course modules for progress-based learning
